If you don’t care for cheese whiz, use provolone or pepper jack cheese and melt it into your ground beef. The Captain loved my new Cheese Whiz Sloppy Joes and I have to admit, so do I. I browned the ground beef, added onion, mushrooms and bell peppers and mixed in a little cheese whiz, along with a few other ingredients and a new sloppy joe recipe was added to my recipe file. So one day, I decided to make a variation of a sloppy joe much like the Philadelphia cheese steak. What can I say? I have to agree with him.
